Stale Smell Removal
Many of our clients complain of stale odors coming from within their homes or offices. These unpleasant smells are often caused by issues stemming from the inner workings of the building’s ventilation systems. Inadequate ventilation is common in newer homes and buildings which are built to restrict airflow, reduce heating and air conditioning losses, and decrease indoor and outdoor air exchange. These types of energy conservation measures rely on the recirculation of indoor air and can have an adverse effect on indoor air quality. Clogged air ducts and damaged fiberglass insulation within your air ducts are the most common causes of stale smells in buildings.
In order to prevent and/or rid your home or office of stale odors, AirCare recommends residential air duct system cleanings every two to five years and annual or bi-annual cleanings for all non-residential buildings.
